It didn't take a single week — let alone a fortnight — for Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," to reach 1 billion Spotify streams.
Spotify said the Eras Tour singer broke the monumental record in five days adding to a list of historic milestones for her 11th era. "Tortured Poets" is the first album in Spotify history to have over 300 million streams in a single day.
Swift's collaborative song with Post Malone, "Fortnight," became the most-streamed song in a single day.
And Swift now holds the top three spots for most streamed album in a single day for "The Tortured Poets Department," "Midnights" and "1989 (Taylor's Version)."
Add these accolades to Swift's Spotify mantelpiece after the singer became the 2023 global artist of the year and the first female artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners.
