Brooke Hogan is opening up about her changing family dynamic and how that played a large role in her absence from her father Hulk Hogan's wedding.
The former reality star and singer, 35, shared a lengthy statement on Instagram Monday, addressing the assumptions around why she didn't attend her father's ceremony with Sky Daily. "Instead of leaving it to speculation, I decided it's better to shut it all down here," she wrote.
Hulk Hogan, 70, shared a video of his intimate nuptials to Daily, 45, on Instagram Sunday, including their respective children as witnesses. The former WWE pro's daughter was noticeably absent.
"As we all experience this with our own families, the dynamics of a family unit continuously change over the years," the "Brooke Knows Best" alum continued in her statement. "With that being said, my family has experienced a LOT of change."
Brooke Hogan said those changes have "been difficult to say the least," especially navigating that in the public eye.

"For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals and values," she continued.
The TV personality concluded: "I wish him well."
Her father's recent marriage is his third. Hulk Hogan was married to Linda Hogan from 1983 to 2009. The couple welcomed Brooke Hogan and Nick Hogan through the course of their relationship. The former professional wrestler later wed Jennifer McDaniel. They were married from 2010 to 2021.
